Praying for Your Husband 30 Day Challenge

“To speak evil of no one, to avoid quarreling, to be gentle, and to show perfect courtesy toward all people.” Titus 3:2

Lord, thank you for the gift of gentleness as a Fruit of the Spirit, a gift that my husband has within him. I ask that you help him to live out his life with a gentle spirit, one he speaks over his family, as well as all of those that he interacts with. May he live his life so differently than others around him that his gentleness will point others to you. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Often times on the other side of gentleness is anger. As counselors, anger management issues are a common thing we see and help many husbands with. More often than not, pent up anger is just a mask for other emotions or frustration with things not being said or needs not being met. This is one of the big reasons why we wrote The Newlywed Couple’s Devotional, the devotional for all newlyweds and newlywed wanna-be’s.

This 52 week devotional encourages couples to talk about things that really matter, as well as have opportunities provided for each spouse to share the things that are important to them.

Time after time we have heard from couples who have been married for many years how they had never had discussions like they’re having with this devotional. We truly believe that real communication equals deeper connection. If you’re dealing with a “not so gentle” spouse, this might be a great place to start!
