Do you ever wonder what’s down the road for you as a couple? Or are you okay with just finding out when you get there? What if we told you that you get to have a good amount of say in what your marriage will look like in those golden, or close to golden years? We’re talking about the law of sowing and reaping.

It turns out that God is right, you do reap what you sow, and that certainly holds true in your marriage. If you sow sparingly into your marriage, you will reap sparingly too, but if you sow generously, you will also reap generously (2 Cor 9:6).

We’re 27 years in and we have seen this to be true. We spent much of our early years of marriage pouring a lot of blood, sweat and tears into our marriage. We did individual work through counseling, Bible studies, and following others who were gracious enough to pour into us. We also invested in our marriage through books, through seminars, vacations for just us, and date nights.

And now, Psalm 126:5 is ringing true, “Those who sow with tears will reap with joy.”

Now is the time to invest in your marriage, and if you do, we can assure you there will much beautiful reaping to enjoy!
